Milestone Alert: DigeHealth Closes CHF 1.25M Seed Round! 🎉
Senior Embedded Systems Engineer

About the Role

DigeHealth builds wearable devices for continuous gastrointestinal health monitoring. As Senior Embedded Systems Engineer, you'll own the firmware stack end to end and set the technical direction for our embedded platform, reporting to the CTO. It's a hands-on lead role in a small, fast-moving startup.

Responsibilities, Duties and Expectations

Set and own the technical direction for the embedded platform — architecture, firmware roadmap, and engineering standards.

Build the real-time firmware and multi-sensor pipeline (PPG, IMU, magnetometer, microphones): acquisition, filtering, sensor fusion, feature extraction, and on-device classification under tight power and latency budgets.

Own the BLE connectivity and data contract with the companion app.

Bring up and port firmware from evaluation kits to production hardware, and debug low-level hardware issues.

Own production readiness: serialization, device self-test, and manufacturing / production test.

Own quality and automation: CI/CD, automated unit and integration tests, and hardware-in-the-loop harnesses.

Document the system: software modules, hardware interfaces, and overall behaviour.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

Strong real-time embedded development in C and Python.

Strong ultra-low-power design and optimization for battery-powered devices.

Battery and power management (charging, fuel-gauging, power path) for wearable devices.

At ease with test and measurement equipment (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, power profiler, multimeter) for bring-up and debugging.

Hands-on Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) in a shipping product.

DSP algorithms on resource-constrained targets.

Hands-on electronics integration, component selection, and low-level hardware debugging.

Embedded file systems and on-device storage (LittleFS, FatFS, flash management).

Production topics: serialization, self-test, manufacturing / production test.

CI/CD and automated testing.

Degree in Electronics or a related field.

Comfortable collaborating in English.

Nice to have

Experience with Nordic nRF and Zephyr RTOS.

On-device ML / NPU, TinyML

Wearables experience

Experience working with devices that interface with mobile apps on iOS and/ or Android
